Happy Birthday Luke!
It's hard to believe, but Luke is now two years old. Mommy was a meanie and took him for his check-up on his birthday...luckily he didn't need any shots today. We found out he is almost 27 pounds and is 34 3/4 inches tall. His vocabulary is rapidly expanding and he is slowly starting to put two and three word phrases together. His very favorite things right now are cars, cars, and cars. He carries them around all day, zooming them here and there and rolling them down his ramp. He loves seeing trucks and buses as we drive and is sure to point each one out to Mommy. Recently, he has begun singing more songs (which usually involve one phrase that repeats) such as Frosty the Snowman and ABCD, and he attempts to sing along with songs on his CDs. Luke also loves playing outside and has been enjoying our swings, slides, and the sandbox on the warmer days. He had his two-year pictures taken at Sears yesterday. You can click here to see those. We let Luke look through pictures in a cake book to pick out a fun cake for his birthday. Mommy attempted to recreate the car cake that he chose. He was so excited about it for days in advance that if you asked him how old he was or if you ever mentioned the word birthday he would say "car cake!"
