This is a picture of Chloe swimming (with swimmies) on vacation (taken by
Aunt Rachel). However, this post is about her swimming at the Y last night (without swimmies). We have a section of the pool at the Y that is 2 feet deep. We've been swimming all summer but last night Chloe made two breakthroughs. First, she decided she wanted to jump off the wall (into the 2 feet water). She started doing it holding my hand, then did it with me "catching" her in the water, and then figured out how to do it all on her own. She continued jumping in for about fifteen minutes straight. Next, she saw a friend holding her mom's hands and being pulled underwater in an attempt to teach her to swim. I asked Chloe if she wanted to try that and she did (previously she hadn't been a big fan of going under water). She did it perfectly and I asked if she wanted to do it again, to which she replies, "I can do it by myself!" So she puts her head underwater, doggie paddles/swims a few seconds and then pops back up again. She continued doing this until it was time to leave. We were very proud of her.

Chloe, I can't wait for you to show us your new skills next weekend when we visit your Grandma and Grandpa! Maybe you can help to teach Sam and Sarah too. :)
