Luke is now 21 months old. He seems more like a little boy and less like a baby every day. Just recently he started picking up many words. Some are clear such as car, door, more, gate, baby, light, moon, and such. Others need some interpretation but we are able to understand him. This list includes "ah-hee" = horsey, "mau" = mouse, "an-hee" = blankie or jamies (PJs), "ee-a-go" = here you go, and the list goes on. He is also very insistent that you acknowledge what he says. If you try reading a book to him or Chloe, be prepared to stop every time he sees something that excites him. He waves his finger and says the name of the object repeatedly until he hears, "Yes, that is a _____". He also likes to report when he's done something. Such as, after closing a door he will come to me and point in the direction of the door saying "door door door door door door.." until I say something like, "Thank you for shutting the door Luke." He has started doing some pretend play, putting his Lego men in time-out, acting like a lion, and feeding baby dolls. He loves building towers, playing with his trucks, throwing balls, and wrestling with Daddy. He also will sing some songs, but again, these take some interpretation. He is loving swimming lessons at the Y and playing ball with Mommy in the raquetball courts. He has moved to eating pretty much what we eat which is very nice. He also is cutting his 12th tooth.
